it looks like a fancy restaurant but its really inexpensive. the food is okay but not great by any means. bang bang shrimp was decent but the steak tasted like leather, horrible does not deserve four stars

I know, I know! Dining at a chain restaurant is not my norm, but then again finding a decent restaurant in MB is not necessarily the norm either. Had a delicious grilled tilapia for dinner and excellent service! I deducted one star because it still is a corporate account (gotta throw a bone to all the mom and pop's out there).

I must say I could not believe I had not eaten here before! First, The bang bang shrimp was delicious! I ordered the Imperial longfin and it was really unbeleivable! I highly recommend this place and the service was also great! The waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and made wonderful suggestions for my table.

i love this place! you must try the bang bang shrimp, the chilean sea bass, and their mashed potatoes, just phenomenal. we went as a group of 6. the bread came with a olive oil and pesto sauce, and it is great, tho a little salty. we started with bang bang shrimp and caesar salad, which were both awesome! for entree, i got the spicy shrimp fettucine, which was good and heavy with lots of shrimps. my boyfriend got the wood grilled chilean sea bass with mashed potatoes, jasmine rice, and vegetables, which i was very jealous of! we finished with banana fosters. our server, matt, was great and very charming! service was great in this place. i wish they had this place in boston!

We had reservations to this place for a Friday night. We picked it because on our drive in, we saw it and thought it looked great from the outside- we were judging a book by it's cover... and it turned out great! The atmosphere was very romantic and relaxing.. candlelight at each table. Our waiter (Ulysses) was very nice and knowledgeable and had suggestions for us. I ordered the Nova Scotian Salmon with lemon butter sauce and it was good. Not the best salmon I've had, but I liked it and ate it all. My side dishes were the garlic mashed potatoes (A) and veggies (B). My husband ordered the Chilean Sea Bass with mango salsa and garlic mashed potatoes. He graded his overall meal a B... he said the Bass was good, he just didn't know why he ordered it :) We had calamari for an appetizer, and it was a huge plate full of calamari! A little greasy, but good. They serve complimentary bread which was delicious! My husband's favorite part was the Yuengling on tap, at a fair price! I ordered Kendall Jackson Chardonnay (I have no idea if that "goes" with salmon), and it was good and reasonably priced. Great experience overall. Would recommend to anyone going to Myrtle Beach.

Awesome food and awesome service! David was great!!! I had never been to a Bonefish Grill before - it was bustling in Myrtle Beach that night!! We had outstanding service and fish was fresh and excellent! We now have one near us in CT! So hopefully we can go to dinner at Bonefish near home!

Poor service. Understaffed. Served undercooked fish and then the server wanted to argue that it was cooked.

Great Food and Great Service Bonefish Grille is one of the best places to eat at when you visit Myrtle Beach SC or North Myrtle Beach SC. I would recommend the Lilly's Chicken and One of there soups. All the staff is very friendly and its overall a Great Place to eat .

Wow - the bang bang shrimp was amazing !!! As was the mahi mahi and the salmon - although a little pricey for lunch real well worth the money. The service, the atmosphere all excellent - probably coming back tomorrow for lunch again

Great appetizers (bang bang shrimp) and sashimi tuna. The entrees were all grilled seafood and cooked to perfection. The mojito was much too sweet as were the brownies. The key lime pie was spot on! Huge selection of drinks and fairly friendly staff. The women who refilled our water was nicer than out actually waitress. We will come back.

Dropped in during a thunderstorm early on a Saturday evening. No crowd and no wait. Slipped up to the bar for a glass of wine and some excellent edamame. I had grilled tuna with mango salsa. Thumbs up. Wife had salad and the bang bang shrimp. Finished it off with key lime pie. Couple next to us were celebrating 30 year anniversary. Couple on other side were vacationing and fun to talk with. Bartenders attentive and fun. Good food and relaxing environment. This is the way we like it.

  • Carlotta S.

Waiter was nice restaurant was clean and there was no wait. That was the only good thing about dinner. The menu looks as though the flavors would be great but the salad was bland and consisted of mostly iceberg. Kids meals are incredibly small and my poor 10 year old left hungry after eating his meal. The main courses had a lot of white rice and other bland ingredients to create a cost effective way to serve more high quality ingredients. I have never eaten at this chain and I am not impressed at all. Go to Flying Fish 2 miles away in barefoot landing instead of this place. All of our meals up until now have been great. We just came here because it was late and we wanted to eat right away. Yelp got this one wrong with a 4 star.

Excellent food! Bang Bang shrimp was awesome! We had 20 people in our party and we ordered an array of food from Lobster to pork chops and EVERYTHING was amazing! The service was great especially considering we had 20 in our party! Now, it was a Tuesday evening and it wasn't crazy busy, but we still had 20 people! Give it a shot!

We had reservation and was seated quickly. Our server Jennifer was very attentive and excellent. She worked very efficiently and knowledgeably answered our questions. One of our party of 5 has food allergy, she took the time out and checked the ingredient list for allergens despite a very busy night. We ordered mahi mahi, ahi tuna, orange roughy, rainbow trout, and ribeye steak. The mahi mahi, orange roughy, and rainbow trout were excellent cooked and seasoned just right, would give a five star. We gave a four because the cut for ahi tuna was not the best, it was dry and not from the best part of the fish. The ribeye steak was not seasoned, not even salted. It was tasteless and dry even when it was ordered medium. The cut of the meat must not have been a premium cut. Over all we still had a great meal 3 out of five, despite mediocrely for two. The service is definitely a five because of Jennifer, our server. We will come back again.

My group and I went here after a long drive to Myrtle Beach, and we were met with bad service and average food quality that did not result in a happy experience. Our server told us multiple times right off the bat that we were only served bread after we ordered our meals because it was "procedure". Then, a couple were seated next to us, and the same server had the audacity to serve them bread BEFORE taking their orders and pretended that we didn't notice. I know this is pure conjecture, but I felt like we got profiled because the rest of my group is black and we are all young. I used to be a server and I know there are standards for service that should be given to everyone, like refilling drinks, fulfilling little requests and attentiveness. The thing that killed it for me was that our server gave all of these to the couple next to us (who came way after us) and none to us. Just makes me want to scream, "WTF?" The disrespectful service means I will not return here.

Took my son and his roommate from school here for dinner. Service was very good. Warm bread with good dipping oil. We all ordered something different and all thought the food was just okay. Nothing spectacular. My son had the grilled cheese with the lobster. He said the crust was so hard he had trouble eating it. I had the lobster roll sliders. Very light on the lobster meat but very tasty. Had an appetizer of calamari. Dipping sauce was a sweet chili. Pretty good. Nothing really jumped out at us.

We love bonefish grill. The food was fresh and the customer service was great. I tried the diablo shrimp pasta and did not care for it. The manager and server were so kind allowing me to choose another menu item without any issues. My server also brought me clam chowder to wait for my dish to arrive. Fantastic customer service and delicious food!

Loved the "bang bang shrimp tacos". I don't really do spicy. These were perfect. A very mild amount of spice to it. Also really liked the strawberry salad. Our waitress Mackenzie was AMAZING!

While visiting Myrtle Beach my wife and I wanted a nice fresh fish dinner. We'd seen other Bonefish Grills but never tried one . We did this time. I am not opposed to write bad reviews when they are deserved but I didn't have to worry about that this time. The food we selected was delicious, served hot and flavorful. My wife chose the Mahi Mahi and Lobster Thermidor preceded by a Caesar salad. I chose their House Salad with Asian Balsamic dressing. Both salads were fresh and crisp. Both entrees were outstandingly fresh and by experience, we know when fish is not fresh. Couple the great food with excellent service the pleasure was all ours. My only negative is the corporations choice of dinner music. A little too jumpy and loud but not totally unbearable. Great dining experience!

  • T L.

Nut allergy friendly. The Bang Bang shrimp was great!! Our 1 year old said "shrimp" for the first time there. That's how good it is. My scallops were cooked perfectly. Husband's salmon was cooked perfectly. The waitress seemed very distracted. She forgot out silverware/napkins. We had to ask for something to eat with after the food came. She was VERY diligent about notifying the kitchen about the food allergy. She clearly read the allergen list for each dish ordered. And the family member did well. The food gets 5 stars. We're happy with their allergen awareness so they get a better rating from the service stand point. Not having an anaphylactic episode is more important than getting your napkins right away. Though it's nice to have both.

Ceviche, bacon wrapped scallops, bang bang shrimp, and mussels. Enough said. Bonefish is a really solid chain restaurant if that's all that's around. Consistent food and the beverage selection is solid. Desserts are good too.

My mistake was not getting g our waitress's name. She was amazing. Very attentive. We went at Happy hour, which is Sun-Thursday 4:00-6:30. AND we went on "BANG BANG WEDNESDAY which means the bang bang shrimp, chicken and tacos were only $5.00 each, as well as the Kettle/applewood bacon and bleu cheese kettle chips. So.......guess what was for dinner?! Yup, all that minus the tacos. But , we also added the house Merlot for just$3.00 a glass. Good grief we walked out of there paying $28.00 for two hungry adults. Gotta love happy hour!!!!!! As a side note: food and service was superb!

The food came out exactly as ordered and was delicious. Hubby and I are new to the area and the waitstaff was so friendly and gave us a lot of local tips for traffic and shopping too. The place was pretty full, even in the middle of January - definitely call ahead and make a reservation.

We ended up here on a Friday night after another seafood place (locally owned, even) turned us away 10 minutes after closing - at 8:40 p.m. on a Friday! The food was terrific - though they were out of quite a lot by the time we arrived. Honestly though, that probably means they're running a tight ship in the kitchen and don't have more fish hanging around than they can cook and serve when it's still good. Glad there's at least one place for a late night dinner during the winter!

Our first visit at Bonefish Grill. It won't be our last. Beautiful decor, friendly service, and great food made for a wonderful experience. Our server, Jenifer, was very patient and attentive. We mentioned celebrating our anniversary and the manager brought two glasses of champagne and a small box of chocolates. The Bang Bang shrimp were wonderful. My grilled swordfish was perfectly cooked. I had Pumpkin Ravioli, buttery and savory. Perfect.

My wife and I (and our one-year-old daughter) tried this for the first time last night. The Bang Bang Shrimp is amazing, and it prompted my wife to get the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos (equally as good). Very generous portions. Nice beer and wine list, and a generous Kids Menu. Our daughter loved the grilled chicken and really enjoyed her garlic mashed potatoes. Fancy, yet casual, feel to the dining room. Nice and attentive waitstaff. We will definitely go again. Also, if you haven't visited in a while, you will find many new items on their menu.

This was a memorable experience. We absolutely love seafood & this placed aimed to please and went far beyond that. Their decor reminds us of a manhattan/la mix and their dishes are perfectly blended seafood spiced works of art.

Man, I want this to be a 5 star. The food is wonderful. But service here is very hit and miss. Today, even other tables around us were audibly complaining about the slow service. We didn't intend to spend 2 hours on lunch. But were forced to. Great food. Highly disappointing service. Get the service part down, and this should be 5-star all day long. I hope management takes note.

We held an event here on 01/04/13 for a professional group. I was a somewhat not enthused because I do not like seafood. Once I arrived, I was blown away by the hospitality. The service here is awesome and the staff is extremely professional in both manner and appearance. I originally came for drinks but I decided to stay for dinner. The edamame was fantastic. For an entree, I ordered the 6 oz filet and it was cooked to perfection and the side of asparagus was simply divine. I went with a Ceasar Salad and I have to tell you that it was so good that I wanted to order another one to take home. The atmosphere in this place is warm and inviting and you get the feeling that the staff is glad you are there. Special kudos to our waiter, Nick who dealt with a large table full of people wanting every possible thing imaginable. The food and drinks appeared without hesitation and the evening was a great success.

I love Bonefish Grill....just not this one! Stopped in on one of our many visits to Myrtle Beach. Waitress was not the best...She commented on how much she hates eating shrimp, as we ordered the bang bang. WHAT!! Husband selected vegetable medley with his meal....She served him asparagus instead..Unreal!! Icing on the cake!....Garlic mash potatoes, ice cold...Said the chef was preparing fresh batch....The next serving was even colder!! WHAT!! Bonefish Grill in my neighborhood is the best!!! Great service and food!! Skip this one....They don't care about the tourist!!!

Best restaurant we were at while in Myrtle Beach! I really didn't think a chain restaurant would get this high of mark with me, but it really was that good. We ordered two appetizers, calamari and coconut shrimp YUMMY!!! Then my hubby got the grilled shrimp and scallops, and I ordered a strawberry salad. We also each had a pineapple martini....my first martini EVER! If I didn't have to drive I would have ordered two more they were so yummy! Enough about the alcohol, the food was excellent, everything was cooked perfectly! Service was also EXCELLENT! Well done Bonefish I will be back to try you locally now.

Had a lovely time! I came with 11 other people, and we were seating together by the bar. Some people ordered appetizers, Bang Bang Shrimp and Ceviche. Delicious! I had the Parmesan Crusted Rainbow Trout for the main course with a pineapple rosemary martini. Everything was tasty. Definitely will be coming back. Service and ambiance was terrific.

Neither my husband nor I had any idea this place was a chain when we walked in! We thought we made a discovery until a friend told me there's one near me in North Carlina... haha. It's Italian/Asian fusion. We had "saucy shrimp" as an appetizer: a sweet sauce that compliments the shrimp, plus kalamata olives, feta, and sun-dried tomatoes. I liked it; he didn't love it. He did love his grilled tilapia with mango salsa and his zucchini side dish was excellent. I had the pecan-crusted rainbow trout with basil, artichokes, and lemon butter sauce. It was massive portion and perfectly cooked, crispy, flaky and moist with lots of flavor. We could both order those entrees over and over again.

We are relatively locals and really didn't want a chain restaurant, but we also didn't want a fried dinner. I had the Kung pao shrimp (I know - it's not too far from fried), and my wife had the Imperial Wolf Fish. Awesome. Hit the spot and were very well done. Bonuses included the mashed potatoes (obviously not made with skim milk) and the craft beer selection not typical at a chain. I had a Dead Guy Ale (22 oz 6.6%) that was worth the $14 cost. Looking forward to another trip sometime in the future. You can check the local websites for specials and other local only info.

I had the sigapore calamari. It was decent. The resturant decor was pleasant, service was great. The DESSERT was incredible. I am not sure what it was called but it was some enormous chocolate brownie volcano with hot chocolate sauce and raspberry sauce, ice cream whip cream it was truely something I had never seen before. There were 4 of us at the table and were only able to take about 3-4 spoonfuls of this dessert it was that rich but man... it was sooooo good. I would go back with a group and just order the dessert!!!! Oh and the wine was tasty too nice wine list.

As this was my first time going to a Bonefish restaurant... I gotta say it was pretty good for a national chain. My wife and I shared a bang-bang shrimp as an appetizer then I proceeded to a blacken sea bass with the mango sauce ( very delicious); ate it all. The prices weren't too bad and the service was great from beginning to end. I would highly recommend this national chain and hopefully you receive the same service and food I received.

Excellent staff and service. Matt and Bob took great care of us at the bar. Tried the Sea bass, per the recommendation of the staff. It was delish. The restaurant over-all was very clean. Drinks were great too. Try the Blueberry Martini. Bread was good too. We were looking for something local, but couldn't help but notice the crowded parking lot after driving up and down the main drag.

OK, so I was trying to remember my socially responsible rules for what fish to eat when I got here (there's a handy little card I didn't have on me from the Monterey Aquarium - located here: mbayaq.org/cr/seafoodwat… ) Anyhow, I knew I couldn't have the Chilean Sea Bass - boo on them for serving it - so I opted for the Mahi Mahi which I was kind of rolling the dice on whether it was on the list or not - it's not. So back to the actual food, the Mahi Mahi special was a bit too rich with this sauce they had that was overpowering for me. The fish itself seemed fairly good, although the sauce made it hard for me to enjoy the actual fish's flavors. The service was excellent and the ambiance was nice, and the prices really good - maybe I'm used to everything being so expensive in SF so the total was a nice surprise. I know it's a chain but aside from the horrendous music that I'm sure came from corporate, it was a nice dinner.

YUCK. Okay every restaurant obviously depends on your taste, as my little sister suggested this place because her and her hubby LOVED it. Since I love shrimp, she said they loved bang-bang shrimp but that it would probably be too spicy for me. Let me clarify that I am VERY picky. I ordered shrimp and mashed potatoes and my roommate ordered steak/shrimp combo with some broccoli. Everything came out in thick creamy sauce that I just couldn't stand. It was way too rich, that is the only way I can describe it. The shrimp might have been okay without all that sauce, and the steak was fairly decent. but EVERYTHING was doused in creamy sauce. I am not sure if that is how every meal there is or what... but I needed only one time to go and know that I won't go back. Too many other places I enjoy to spend money somewhere I didnt!

The filet mignon and potatoes au gratin at Bonefish are great. The house salad is yum too. Last time we were there our table was way too close to the domestic dispute that was going on next to us. It was hard to ignore they were about 7 inches away. I prefer to sit at the bar from now on!!!!

Tried bonefish grille for the first time last night. I would say it earned a solid 4 out of 5. Service was very friendly and helpful. I took our waiters recommendation and got the Atlantic salmon blackened with the mango salsa, I loved it!! As far as appearance and ambiance. The dishes were pretty and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. With soft warm lighting, low noise level, and pleasant decor . The price was maybe a little high, or maybe I'm a just little cheap... Either way we enjoyed our first time at a bonefish grill and will go back.

Unfortunately, we had a bad experience at this Bone Fish Grill, even though we have enjoyed the same restaurant chain in Cary, NC. We had a party of six and were told by our unfriendly waiter that it was happy hour and drinks were half price. We all ordered cocktails. When the bill came, we were charged full price. Upon questioning the waiter, he told us only certain drinks were half price. Wouldn't you think he should have specified that at the time we ordered? The tables were clustered so close together that my chair was constantly banged by waiters serving the table in back of us. Very annoying. Wait staff can make or break a meal out in a nice restaurant. If they are grumpy or unfriendly, it puts a damper on the meal. Our waiter was on the verge of obnoxious and one party in our group wanted to leave him $1.00 as a tip. (His wife talked him out of it.) We will not be back to this Bone Fish Grill any time we are back in Myrtle Beach. There are too many other good places to eat there!

This place was where I had the best steak and shrimp in my whole life! The steak was so juicy and a good size and with the shrimp on top it added a really good taste. Next time we come to Myrtle Beach we are going there.

This place wasn't terrible, I found it average though. Our server was quite attentive and was very helpful. The "famous" bang bang shrimp was just ok.
